This Sunday I was able to attend a lovely afternoon tea with my family at Ubuntu Cafe & Bakery in Selkirk, Manitoba. We had delicious sandwiches, snacks, desserts and of course a great selection of teas to choose from. It made me happy to see so many people there enjoying some special time with their family and friends. My whole family pretty much loves tea! My sister even sells tea (click here to see her page) and check out the spring catalog) for Steeped Tea! Yep, we are a tea kind of family!
What does someone wear to an afternoon tea? Well dressing up is a must for me, but I am sure you knew that I would dress up! LOL! There is no need to go as far as I did but who doesn’t love to dress up every now and then for something special. I was excited that I was able to find so many tea related fashion pieces in my wardrobe already to wear (yep my closet is like a store). My teapot and teacup pin was a lovely find on Etsy. My grandma had a similar one when I was a little girl that I loved so much and I was determined to find one for myself when I got older. Now wearing it reminds me of her. I think finding special pieces like that make the perfect finishing touch on any outfit.
