I have been a little absent from posting this past little while as I have been on a wonderful vacation which included a fabulous Carnival Cruise! The cruise boat we were on was called the Carnival Pride and it sailed out of Tampa, Florida and stopped in Cozumel, Belize, Honduras and the Cayman Islands. I have been kept so busy with the fun daily excursions and I really enjoyed all the fabulous and exotic cruise stops! The highlights of my trip were going in a submarine to see all the beautiful sea life, visiting a cameo factory to see the carving of traditional cameos made from shells (of course I bought a gorgeous ring) and I even got to swim in the ocean with very large stingrays on a sandbar! So much fun!
For me packing is always a challenge as I want to take so much stuff with me and I have to make sure to leave a little room in my suitcase as I need to bring home some souvenirs too! I think the most important pieces of clothing to take on vacation are pieces that don’t easily wrinkle. There is nothing worse than putting on a beautiful outfit and all anyone can see is how wrinkled it is. I find rolling my clothing when putting it in my suitcase helps a little to stop some wrinkling. This dress was a wonderful piece to take on my trip as it looks unique with the attached cape and it doesn’t wrinkle easily. It was a great choice to wear to one of the formal dinners on the boat! As my accessories are always something that makes my outfits stand out I think my cruise boat clutch bag from Kate Spade was the perfect finishing touch!
