This past weekend I was able to take a lovely short road trip to a festival called the Morden Corn and Apple Festival. It’s an event every year that is put on by the local community. Lots of wonderful people volunteer their time. I think the name of festival gives away what it’s all about but there is lots more to do too. They even shut down the entire main street and pack it full of food trucks, craft vendors and carnival rides! Everyone who comes can get a free cob of corn to eat and also some free apple juice. More than 50,000 people come to the festival over the 3 days, can you imagine how much corn they go through!!
On our way home from the festival we stopped at this gorgeous place called Parkside Pioneer Patch in Winkler to take some photos! It is the most perfect little spot filled with vintage cars and trucks, vintage tractors, vintage bikes and so much more! Every vintage piece is covered in beautiful flowers! I wish I lived closer as I would for sure be here taking photos often. I think the setting is just stunning with my embroidered dress from Chicwish (click here to see it). I just adore the tassel detailing too. This dress is a cute short length for my petite height but if I were any taller I think I would just wear it as a tunic and I will definitely be wearing this dress as a tunic myself with some jeans this fall. I love when pieces can be worn a few different ways as then I can get lots of use out of them.
