One popular trend this winter is velvet! I really didn’t own anything velvet so I wanted to add a piece to my closet. In the past I had a pair of velvet leggings and I was less then thrilled when the back started to wear down over time from sitting. That definitely was not the look I was going for and it was less then flattering! LOL! Ever since then I have been a little scared of wearing velvet but I thought I would give it another try. Everything deserves a second chance! I found this cute little crushed velvet skirt for under $20 and I thought it was perfect. Since black velvet can be worn with almost anything it was easy to style. I know not everything has to match to make a great outfit but when I found these tights to match my jacket I just couldn’t help but wear them together! I know I could have worn just plain black tights with this outfit but wearing these is just so much more fun! 🙂
